2009 New Year! New You!
Friday, February 6, 2009 at 4:13AM 2009 has been a year for big things already... We have seen the Inauguration of our first African American President....a day many of us believed we would never see in our lifetime. Change is clearly in the air. We must remember that as our new President begins what will undoubtly be the start of many long days and nights...unraveling the tangled ball of yarn that our last President left...we must pray for him. Pray that he will have guidance and wisdom. That he will seek God first for clarity and definintion of HIS will.
We must also help him by working alongside of him to get things done at a grassroots level. No longer do we have time as a nation to vote, and write letters along partisan lines. We must get out and act! Representing the will of The Almighty as we step along the way.
Last but certainly not least...we must begin the hard work of restoration. I am not speaking of this country's restoration, but of our own. Our bodies are temples, and we must work hard at maintaining our physical, and spiritual health. It is also important that we begin to monitor our financial health as some of us begin to dig out of the financial holes that this latest recession has left in it's wake.
I hope that this blog will be informative, and a place that you can come to and find resources. I can only hope and pray that it might make a difference to someone out there... even in a small way. As I began the journey of restoring myself in all ways this year... I took on the motto..NEW YEAR... NEW YOU. My goal is to journal, exercise, and meditate everyday.
"I Am Healthy Wealthy and Whole!"
Blessings,
Monica

I particularly like the fact that you mention individuals monitoring their financial health, as I have ALWAYS believed that monitoring that is as important as monitoring one's physical health. Health in both areas makes for a stronger, more balanced person who is better able to help themselves and our President/country.
